Senior Python Developer

Andersen, an international IT company, invites an experienced Python Developer with AWS to work on a project for one of our UK customers.

The customer is a new kind of bank founded in 2016. It focuses on distinct client segments that are underserved by the market, creating innovative products to meet their needs. The company offers white-labeled products with no upfront investment for certain industries and businesses.

The task is to build banking technology with class-leading flexibility for clients. At the core of this platform is consumer account processing infrastructure that is able to process client account events and perform financial computations.

Responsibilities:- Developing a 100% backend software system (Data Platform) - a Data Lake running on Amazon Cloud.- Designing and implementing automated data quality checks.- Enabling Data Warehousing capabilities.- Implementing data reconciliation capabilities.- Evolving various features and capabilities for the Data Platform.

Must-haves: - Experience as a Python Developer for cloud (AWS) applications for 4+ years.- Strong knowledge of AWS (Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, S3, CloudWatch and Step Functions, IAM Mechanics).- Skilled in Terraform against AWS.- Non-Zero experience doing software design (selecting cloud components to implement a technical solution or performing comparison of alternatives, convincing Product Owner to pick you the proposed idea, or taking active part in such activities).- Good communication and problem-solving skills.- You look for ways to increase productivity and care about building high-quality systems.- You are a Team Player, ready to support your teammates.- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate.

Nice to have:- Experience with serverless architecture, design patterns, and best practices.- Experience with Amazon SNS/SQS.- Knowledge of RDS/Aurora.- Experience with Lake Formation.- Knowledge of DBT.- Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.- Significant commercial SQL experience (building analysis systems).
