About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with strong proficiency in Java and fluent German language skills. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend solutions using Java technologies. This role requires expertise in enterprise-level application development, multi-layer architectures, and adherence to Agile practices.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java technologies.Implement multi-layer architectures and integrate with EJB containers and application servers like Oracle WebLogic or Payara.Utilize persistence layers such as Hibernate, EclipseLink, and JPA for efficient data management.Develop and optimize SQL queries for various relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MS-SQL Server, MySQL).Implement unit tests, performance tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality.Use version control systems like Git and SVN for code management.Work in diverse operating system environments including UNIX, Solaris, Windows, and Linux.Implement container technologies for application deployment.Collaborate in Agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.Design and model software using OOA/OOD, UML, and MDA principles.Ensure secure development practices and implement J2EE security architectures.

Required Skills:Proficiency in Java is essential.Fluent German language skills (written and spoken).Experience with enterprise Java technologies (J2EE, EJB).Knowledge of multi-layer applications, EJB containers, and application servers (e.g., Oracle WebLogic, Payara).Familiarity with persistence layers (Hibernate, EclipseLink, JPA).Proficiency in SQL and understanding of RDBMS (Oracle, MS-SQL Server, MySQL).Experience with Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban) and clean code development.Familiarity with version/configuration management (GIT, SVN) and CI/CD processes.Knowledge of container technologies and DevOps practices.
