Job Brief:The Sr. Android Engineer role is part of our Software Development team and is responsible for enhancing and maintaining products for our clients. The role will be responsible for developing mobile solutions utilizing the latest technologies in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Qualified individuals will design, program, document, debug, test, deploy, support, and sustain mobile applications. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in developing applications with a variety of technology stacks to create native mobile applications that are hosted on the Android App Store. Ideal candidates will have experience working in healthcare and medical device integrations.
What You Will Do;Write clean, concise, readable, and testable code (Kotlin)Amplify mobile development velocity by improving mobile architecture, optimizing development practices, and leaning into automation.Maintain, design, and implement new features and interfaces for mobile applicationsWrites/performs unit and UI tests to identify malfunctionsPerforms troubleshooting to debug and optimize code performanceLiaise with product development team to plan new products and featuresEnsures new and legacy applications meet quality standardsManages work effort via agile methodology and participates in SCRUM meetingsMaintains code via software development version control platform working with a team of other developers.Stay up-to-date with new technology trends
We Should Talk If You Have:8+ years of experience in Mobile Application development specifically with Android (Kotlin)Have published and maintained apps on the Google Play Store Solid understanding of Android fundamentals including component lifecycles, dependency injection, multi-threading, persistence, and usage of Jetpack components (Compose, Navigation, ViewModel, etc) Strong mobile UI design skills and demonstrable proficiency in standard Android design principlesExperience integrating with 3rd Party Web Services/APIsExperience with automated testing and debugging Mobile ApplicationsStrong understanding of Object-Oriented developmentDesire to learn new technologies and evolve skill setExperience maintaining code via software development version control platforms (GitHub, BitBucket,etc)Experience managing tasks/work effort via agile (Jira experience a plus)
Bonus Points If You Have:Prior agency experience, working with multiple clientsExperience working in health tech or related fields, particularly medical device integrationExperience with Dart and Flutter development
