Responsibilities:Report to and collaborate closely with Engineering Managers to ensure alignment with project goals and objectivesCollaborate with UX/UI design teams to create robust and innovative front-end user experiencesManage multiple projects simultaneously, addressing specific needs and requirements as they ariseServe as a subject matter expert in BigCommerce, specializing in all aspects of the platformWork alongside Front End Developers to build custom-tailored BigCommerce themes, modify pre-existing templates, and develop complex custom solutionsCollaborate with Project Managers, Technical Leads, and clients to architect and develop BigCommerce websitesDevelop compelling solutions and functionality that align with user needs and business objectivesStay up-to-date on BigCommerce API changes and effectively utilize them in project developmentUnderstand business needs that drive project features and functions, providing internal consultation as needed

Requirements:Minimum 5+ years of experience in front-end technologyProven experience and expertise as a BigCommerce Developer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in developing front-end user experiencesAn ownership over project deliverablesExpert knowledge of HTML and CSS nuances and proper semanticsExpert skill set in JavaScriptSolid understanding of progressive enhancement, responsive design, accessibility and best UX/UI practicesExpert level knowledge of BigCommerce Stencil framework (handlebars, front matters etc)Comfortability working with graphQL, Storefront APIs and Stencil/Liquid util-APIsSolid understanding of common Web accessibility patternsExperienced in integrating with REST APIsBackground in page speed and rendering efficiency testing and remediationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with team members and clients
