Role: Progress DB Developer

-Proficiency in writing and maintaining Progress code.-Ability to write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data.-Knowledge of database admin tasks like schema management, indexing and performance tuning.-Experience in integrating Progress applications with external systems using technologies like APIs, SOAP, ODBC/JDBC.-Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues in Progress applications and databases.-Willingness to learn new Progress technologies and adapt to changes in progress ecosystem.-Working experience with OpenEdge 11.x and 12.x, OpenEdge App Server, PASOE.-Database performance monitoring and optimization tuning.-Experience with database security, encryption.-Previous experience with migrating from one version of Progress DB to another.-Experience analyzing business requirements, generate DB schema recommendations, create detailed technical designs. -Performance tuning experience to reduce DB processing times.-Substantial hours overlap to Central/Eastern US time zones.
