WordPress Web Developer

Responsibilities:Develop and maintain WordPress websites with a focus on pixel-perfect design implementation and write semantic well-commented code.Work with the ITS Digital Services team to integrate and ensure responsiveness and performance.Utilize WordPress Block Editor and Full Site Editing capabilities, using Digital Services in-house university theme.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress theme development and testing.Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and communicate clearly to ensure project requirements are met.Work with the Digital Accessibility Office to ensure all websites meet WCAG AA standards.Write training documents for site owners.

Top skills you need to have:Proficiency in coding semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Proven experience in designing and creating WordPress-based websites.Solid understanding of ADA/Accessibility markup and best practices to meet WCAG 2.0 AA.Strong problem-solving skills and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
