Location: Remote in IndiaPosition Title: Front End EngineerPosition Travel: N/AJob type: 3 months+ quarterly extensions Job Description:Must-Haves:5+ years experience developing software products, scalable internet software, and applications using a range of software models including object-oriented and functional design patternsStrong front- end experience for infrastructure and developer productivity projects using technologies- Javascript, React and TypescriptExperience creating, bundling, and deploying shared frontend libraries and packagesPackage extraction experience with component and modular bundles like Vite, Webpack, Babel, Gulp.JS etc.Experience with unit testing with JEST or other similar technology Day-to-Day:An employer is looking for a Sr Front End Engineer to work remotely in India. This individual will be working on the Shared UX team to help implement our next generation web platform. We’re aiming to create a platform using technologies like React, Next.js, Typescript, Node, OpenAPI, Sass/SCSS, and Webpack. We’re setting up a monorepo with pnpm, turborepo, BuildKite, and GitHub packages. We support a team of nearly 200 web engineers with a multi-million line codebase. We’re creating a library of shared components and modularizing our platform libraries. We want to substantially increase our pace of development, reduce build time and test flakiness, and increase engineer job satisfaction. In this role, you will work closely with tech leads, engineering leadership, the Shared UX team, product and design. You will be responsible for:Modularize our frontend end code and extract it into deployable frontend libraries and packagesRapidly creating software that customers love by partnering cross-functionally with a talented team of Engineers, Designers, QA, and Product ManagersIntegrate the web frontend with the company’s external RESTful API and other partner APIsDevelop clean, reusable, supportable, and well-tested codeWrite automated tests of your Javascript code and collaborate with QA to deliver software at a high level of quality Define and meet performance, accessibility, and security goalsContribute to internal and external technical documentation System Soft Technologies is a proud equal employment opportunity employer.
