Senior Web GIS Developer

Position: Senior Web GIS DeveloperExperience: 5+Company: Kooe Private LimitedJob Type: ContractLocation: RemoteResponsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain web-based GIS applications.Integrate various GIS tools and libraries, including Leaflet, ArcGIS, and Mapstore, into web applications.Work with spatial data, map projections, and coordinate systems to ensure accurate geospatial representations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze user requirements and deliver solutions that meet client needs.Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices.Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing GIS applications.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in GIS and web development.Requirements:Minimum Experience: 5 years in GIS and web development.GIS Fundamentals:Strong understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) principles and concepts.Familiarity with spatial data, map projections, and coordinate systems.Proficiency with GIS tools and libraries, including:LeafletArcGISMapstoreWeb Development Skills:Proficient in JavaScript and familiar with its libraries and frameworks.Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including:HTMLCSSExperience with web frameworks such as:Angular (preferred)React, Vue.js, or similar frameworksAdditional Skills:Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Experience with version control systems like Git.Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.Knowledge of back-end technologies and database management is a plus.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Geography, Geospatial Science, or a related field.Proven track record of successfully delivering web GIS projects.
