AWS Developer

OnX Canada has partnered with a client based in Toronto seeking an AWS Developer for a new 6-month (extendable) contract role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing User Interface (UI) using AWS services based on identified use cases by business. The AWS Developer reports to the Director, Analytics and Product Development and requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and generate code artifacts with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Specific accountabilities include:Analyze requirements and translate them into design UI & artifacts in cloud native solutions.Develop software artifacts to support design components to align with use cases.Perform Integration testing of different developed packages for the consolidated view.Maintain clean code to ensure its quality and integrity.Develop and apply data models and algorithms to solve business problems.Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.Qualifications5+ years of experience in developing agile web applications including User Interface design in AWS.5+ years of experience writing code for GUI frameworks in Python or any programming language, AWS SDK, AWS CLI, Lambda, AWS S3, Cognito, Cloud front, EC2, REST APIs and WAF to host web applications.2+ years of experience working with AWS Amplify for web Applications or any UI development platforms.A university degree in the field of STEMPrevious experience with CI/CD pipelines. Preferably Terraform.Strong experience with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly, collaborative attitude.Comfortable and excels within remote work environment.Advanced knowledge of SQL for querying databases.Familiarity with machine learning techniques and tools is a plus.
