Our client is an innovative telecommunications company in Austin, TX. They are currently looking a software QA engineer as follows. The position can be remote.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to define system requirements and functionalities.Design and manage databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance.Write efficient and complex queries to retrieve and manipulate data as required by various applications.Optimize backend systems for performance and scalability to handle increasing user demands.Implement caching mechanisms, load balancing, and other strategies to ensure system reliability and efficiency.Implement and maintain security best practices to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access.Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and bugs in a timely manner.Provide support and maintenance for production systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.Stay current with industry trends and advancements in backend technologies and methodologies.Contribute to the improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality products.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in backend software development.Strong proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go).Experience with RESTful API design and development.Proficient in database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
