Lead Java fullstack developer

Role Description:Design and implement a real-time trading system for the interdealer marketplace. The platform will be 100% deployable in AWS cloud and leverage the industry-leading core sequencer trading architecture. The platform is a 100% ground up build to replace an existing vendor platform. This role is a hands-on player-coach leading a small team

Responsibilities● Design and architect all server-side components of a new low-latency trading platform deployed in AWS. ● Recruit, train and lead a team of 3-4 software engineers ● Hands on development of 1 or more major components in Java; ensure design consistency and engineering excellence for all back-end server components ● Create and implement test automation covering all functionality, performance and stability ● Deploy to production, replace legacy trading platform and provide level 3 support for the new application

Mandatory Experience ● 5+ years developing low-latency, zero garbage collection systems in Java. ● 3+ years as a team lead or equivalent hands-on manager of 2 or more engineers. ● 2+ years developing and deploying native cloud applications in AWS.

Desired Experience ● 5+ years developing real time execution systems for electronic trading covering one or more of the following asset classes: equities, FX, options, or fixed income. ● 2+ years working as a software engineer in a start-up environment

QualificationsBachelor of Science, Master of Science or equivalent degree in computer science, computer engineering
