Frontend Developer

Datapher AI is a VC backed AI Fintech start-up headquartered in London. We are on a mission to eliminate the time investment professionals spend on manual tasks by 80% so that they can better focus on what matters: alpha-generating strategies. We are a team of three Co-founders, with over 40 years of tech and financial services experience, and an Advisor from one of the top Investment Banks.

We are seeking a Senior Front End Developer with a profound understanding of Front End technologies in a holistic sense. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level proficiency in crafting highly performant and scalable front end frameworks, leveraging React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. We are not merely seeking run-of-the-mill React developers; rather, we require individuals who can architect and engineer sophisticated solutions to meet the demands of a mission-critical platform. Responsibilities:Front End Framework Development: Lead the design and implementation of advanced front end frameworks, ensuring optimal performance and extendability.Utilize React, JavaScript, and TypeScript to develop robust and flexible solutions that meet the platform's evolving needs.

Rapid Deployment and Enhancement: Demonstrate a proactive attitude and strong aptitude to rapidly contribute to the core buildout of our mission-critical platform.Work closely with the development team to drive continuous improvement and iteration of front end components.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers to translate requirements into scalable and intuitive user interfaces.Communicate ideas, solutions, and challenges clearly and effectively to cross-functional teams.

Front End Architecture and Best Practices: Champion high-performance front end architecture and adherence to best practices.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the development process as appropriate.Ensure compatibility across major browsers and adherence to HTTP protocols, leveraging technologies such as Websockets for real-time communication.

Technical Skills Required: Proficiency in JS ES6/7, ReactJS, Tailwind

QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science5+ years' experience in frontend development from ground-upFamiliarity using Scrum/Agile development methodologiesExperience with Typescript, React, Next, TailwindFinancial Data Visualisation: Experience working with complex financial rich data, charting and advanced data visualisation libraries.Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable expertise in crafting performant and scalable front end architectures, showcasing an advanced understanding of key technologies and best practices.Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality solutions.Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and hit the ground running to drive the buildout of mission-critical platforms.

This would be a remote consulting contract for a few months to begin with with a vision to take on the person on a permamnent role. Permanent role will come with benefits such as equity options, healthcare etc.
