Application Developer II

JustinBradley's client, a multinational mass media and entertainment company, is looking for an Application Developer II. The developer will build and configure features in both the front and back-end applications for the Consumer Products’ Franchise Hub tool.

Work Experience/ Qualifications:3+ years of PHP experience, preferably using headless Wordpress3+ years of JavaScript experience, preferably while using React2+ years utilizing APIs or microservices, including familiarity with at least two popular authentication protocols such as oauthKnowledge of standard source code management and build tools such as Jira, Git, GitHub Actions and JenkinsExperience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodologyExperience working in very small and matrixed teamsFamiliarity with all stages of SDLC, including ticket refinement, unit testing, functional testing, and deployment.

Required Skills: Understand functional requirements based on Figma designs and written requirements then translate into technical design specificationsProficient in PHP, React, JavaScript, WordPress, HTML, CSS, REST API, & SQL LanguagesUtilize applicable application configuration and development toolsets to build, configure and/or test solutions that adhere to design specification and business requirements.Provide t-shirt size estimates as well as detailed estimates through product and sprint grooming processesProvide technical direction and support to the rest of your teamAbility to guide teams on best coding practices and provide recommendations on how functionality should be implanted to ensure that features are not over engineeredSelf-motivated and able to work with little supervisionWrite unit test scripts, define test data, and think through boundary conditions and code paths to ensure that proper unit testing is conducted prior to delivering to QAComprehensive Unit testing covering all aspects of an application: performance, security, usability, and end-user experienceHigh degree of commitment, independence, and self-motivation; enthusiasm for challenging workStay current on new technologies and trends, and proactively expand technical and functional skills within their Application AreasClearly communicate with technical and non-technical team members, verbally and in writingDemonstrates resiliency when met with challenges or setbacksMust be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, both in person, on the phone or in virtual meetingsMust be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructionsMust be able to organize and schedule work effectivelyMust be able to work well under time constraintsMust be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concernedMust be service-orientedMust be able to work independentlyMust be able to demonstrate resilience and reset quickly if/when encountering potential setbacksMust be able to work standard hours (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. PST) with some flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessaryMust be able to maintain confidentialityCommunicate with product and engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders and executive leadershipDemonstrates resiliency when met with challenges
