Sr. Mern Stack Developer

Job Title: Sr. Mern Stack Developer/ Logistics or Supply chain domain

As a Sr. Mern Stack Developer at Optimal Virtual Employee, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web and app applications. You will work closely with our product and design teams to build user-friendly, scalable, and high-performance solutions. Your expertise in React.js and Node.js will be essential in driving our projects forward. The role is based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility for remote work.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE - LOGISTICS/ SUPPLY CHAIN DOMAIN - VERY STRONG EXPERIENCE IN NODE JS AND REACT JS

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications using React.js and Node.jsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient codeEnsure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsIdentify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugsHelp maintain code quality, organization, and automationStay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Skills

Proven experience of 7+ years as a Mern Stack Developer or similar roleStrong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object modelIn-depth knowledge of React.js and its core principlesExperience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it (such as Express, StrongLoop, etc.)Understanding of RESTful APIsFamiliarity with modern front-end build pipelines and toolsExperience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirementsA knack for benchmarking and optimizationFamiliarity with code versioning tools, such as GitExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork skills

Other skills

Experience with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL)Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools like KubernetesUnderstanding of microservices architectureExperience with testing frameworks and tools (Jest, Mocha, etc.)
