Position Description
Work within an agile team to enhance and maintain business applications. Work with the project team to configure, operate and maintain AWS Cloud environments and DevOps (CICD) pipelines to support portal software and chatbot instances. Construct technical solutions and supporting deliverables to enable the client to accomplish its business objectives. Work with the team to design and maintain AWS cloud environments for development, testing and Production. Assist in deploying applications to the AWS cloud environments via automated pipelines. This support includes pre- and post-deployment to operations and maintenance. Perform analysis and evaluation of component packages and software related to incidents and troubleshooting. Perform testing, evaluation, installation, and configuration of application releases. Install and upgrade software, patch, and plugins to ensure and sustain security compliance.
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Provide expert level IT technical services and technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, tools, external interfaces, and other technical areas. Technologies include AWS Cloud (Lambda, Cloudwatch, EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, AWS Load Balancer, Secrets Manager, Route53) and GitLab Runner pipelines to deploy Java-based applications and Rasa-based chatbots. Configure and maintain cloud resources in Development, Test and Production environments. Provide subject matter expertise to the team in AWS cloud design and operations: recommend AWS services to leverage in environment designs, develop scaling strategies to minimize cost while protecting business application performance, develop SOPs for business application operations in AWS environments, and support IT operations. Work with different contractors/vendors supporting ongoing effort of various integrations to AWS. Establish and maintain CICD pipelines using GitLab Runner. Contribute to the development of documentation. Work closely with clients and cross-functional departments on technical issues including cloud infrastructure design and maintenance and to communicate project statuses and proposals. Analyze data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems. Monitor system performance. Install third party software version upgrades, deploy new software and defect fixes.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree. Eight (8)+ years of overall IT industry experience Be able to demonstrate understanding of the AWS platform. Four (4)+ years of working experience with AWS. Experience must include provisioning and maintaining resources in an AWS cloud. Two (2)+ years of working experience establishing and maintaining CICD pipelines. Cognizant of current AWS technologies to formulate new solution and/or make recommendations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with clients and business partners. Working knowledge of agile methodologies.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Possess one (1) AWS certification to demonstrate understanding of platform Experience working with the following AWS technologies: AWS Lambda, AWS Cloudwatch, EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, AWS Load Balancer, Secrets Manager, Route53 Experience configuring and maintaining CICD pipelines using GitLab Runner

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,800.00 - $190,100.00.
