Intrado’s Life and Safety team is currently adding a Sr. Mobile Developer. The Sr. Mobile Developer will be supporting our Safety Shield product. We are looking for a strong developer who is a self-starter, eager to learn new tools and technologies and is flexible with an ability to work within an environment that is fast paced with a distributed team.

Please note: this position is a hybrid position and will be required to work out of our Longmont, CO office for a portion of each week.

Safety Shield is a highly scalable and distributed cloud service based in AWS. Core technologies include React, PHP, and Apache with MySQL and PostgreSQL RDS services. Additionally, the Android & iOS mobile applications are built using React and Cordova. The platform also supports wearable safety devices. Safety Shield is an end-to-end safety management platform that enables faster and more accurate emergency response and offers a wide range of emergency response capabilities. The Safety Shield product includes customizable event triggers such as active shooter, suspicious activity, medical along with real-time attendance, reunification, and drill management.

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Design, develop, and unit test new enhancements that meet business or performance improvement requirements.Research, lead, participate and document design reviews and decisions.Participate in project planning and estimation.Participate in agile software development ceremonies.Keep up to date on new products, development tools, industry trends, and methodologies.Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or a related field required, however equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Experience And Technical Skills:

Minimum of three years of solid programming experience with medium to large size mobile apps.Skilled in Java. Experience with Cordova plugins is a plus.Familiarity with Cordova / Ionic application frameworks.Familiarity with Xcode and Android Studio.Exposure to JavaScript/Typescript. Previous React experience is a plus.Familiarity with state management patterns and solutions such as Redux is a plus.Experience with mobile app distribution and release frameworks (Apple App Store, Google Play).Experience working on agile software development teams.Effective communication and presentation skills.Experience working with version control systems such as Git.

For candidates located in Colorado, the hiring range for this position is anticipated between $85,000k-$130,000 and will be commensurate with experience. Candidates may be eligible for differential pay based on shift worked and premium pay for overtime and/or being on call.
