Functional Developer (OIPA) - 100% Remote

Akkodis is seeking a Functional Developer (OIPA) for a Contract (W2) position, and this is a 100% Remote role. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in Oracle, XML, SQL, and MS Office. Rate Range: $90-$100 per hour W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

JOB DESCRIPTIONPerform configuration development and release management for the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) system Maintain and grow insurance industry and technical knowledge competencies Collaborate with the configuration team, technical team, and business analysts to ensure the OIPA system is configured to achieve the system behavior defined by the business requirements Participate in self-directed learning - specifically in configuration syntax and Insurance Business Knowledge Analyze and resolve basic problems to maintain data integrity, process integrity, and system performance Work in a client service context, involving client interactions at various levels MUST-HAVES Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Actuarial studies; and/or equivalent job experience Strong analytical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail Familiarity with XML, SQL relational/entity databases, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Visio) Understanding of system design and development processes Strong written and oral communication skills in French and EnglishAbility to deliver high-quality projects on time and within scope Positive attitude with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment Inquisitive and proactive approach with an ability to work independently and a desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies Ability to take initiative and be a solution seeker Ability to thrive in a team environment and develop excellent relationships with others NICE-TO-HAVES 2-8 recent years of experience working with the OIPA platform and/or equivalent job experience Knowledge of computer system capabilities, business processes, and workflow Some exposure to SDLC (Waterfall, Agile, etc.) Product knowledge of insurance and/or annuity products Knowledge of software testing best practices
