Position: Ruby on Rails DeveloperExperience: Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experienceLocation: Permanent remoteNotice Period: Immediate to 30 days

What we are looking for:

3+ years of experience in Ruby with proficiency in few front end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.Knowledge of Elixir or similar technologies. Ideal candidate has knowledge of both Ruby and Elixir.Expected to learn and over time become proficient in Elixir if currently not knowledgeable in that tech stackE-commerce/retail domain knowledgeAbility to mentor and guide junior engineers, providing them support to start and complete their tasksAbility to adapt to Comoto best practices and standards and contribute to evolving them based on their own experiencesRegularly write clean code and help guide other team members to do the sameThe ability to recognize code smells and refactor mercilessly when you see themUnderstand the architecture of systems that span multiple business domains and drive the design of the context you work in to improve that ecosystemExpert-level with RDBMS and can effectively use an ORM with appropriate patternsRegularly implement complex frameworks and understand the purpose of themBelief in continuous delivery principles and strive to keep our product shippable at all timesStays up to date with emerging trends by attending meet-ups, reading books, following open source projects, etc.Passion for Agile principles and participate actively in important rituals such as grooming and planning sessions as well as being comfortable estimating and willing to call out blockers earlyFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Google Cloud Platform (this is a nice to have and not a requirement of the role).
