What You Will Do Our partner is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-to-Senior Level PL/SQL Developer to join our team. This role plays a vital part in the rearchitecting effort of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) that was originally written in 1986. You will work independently with minimal supervision, producing high-quality code and ensuring the successful implementation of new development and performance enhancements.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and refine stored procedures, create tables, and write efficient queries. Implement data migration strategies and support the offshore team in India. Enhance and tune performance for existing stored procedures. Provide daily knowledge transfer from India to US-based resources and support migration work completed by the India team. Collaborate with DBAs and other team members to support all work at the Data Tier.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills: 7 to 10 years of experience as a PL/SQL Developer. Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL. Skilled in all aspects of SQL, including stored procedures, triggers, and error handling. Strong understanding of mutating table errors and how to resolve them. Ability to speak to sub-queries and their implementation. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) architecture. Strong skills in tuning and performance enhancements. Good communication skills and ability to work US hours (7 am - 4/5 pm MST). Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Java and Java Spring. Strong knowledge of data migration strategies. Background in developing backend services and RESTful APIs. Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a distributed and scalable application. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
Location: This is a fully remote position based in Colombia, working Eastern hours. There is no requirement for travel.
