Android Developer (Automotive)

REMOTE WORKING, ONLY FROM WITHIN ROMANIAAUTOMOTIVE PROJECT

Project Description:-Luxoft's customer is a premium brand of the VAG-group vehicles and our customer is looking at Luxoft as a partner with our strong in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) and HW/SW separation experience. Project goal is to implement a converged Digital Cockpit system. This project requires activities in developing and testing the IVI and instrument cluster (IC) HMI as well as the Android-based service layer with its core functionality such as Tuner, Audio Management, Telephony, Multimedia, Speech Dialog System or Projection technologies. Additionally we will extend the engagement with supporting our customer in a joint project setup in the overall system integration leveraging our proven software house approach.

Responsibilities:1. Participate in requirement analysis.2. Design, create, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code from scratch.3. Implement performance and quality services.4. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and implement solutions to these problems.5. Maintain code quality.

Mandatory Skills Description:-Experience in ANDROID/AOSP development 1+y-Experience with C++: 3+ y-Embedded or Automotive software development experience 1+y-Good knowledge of OOP.-Good knowledge of SW Design Patterns.-Experience in unit testing.-Has experience with UML. Able to use component, class, sequence and flow diagrams.-Multithreading, inter process communication.-Experience in working with requirements: gathering and analysis.-Knowledge of Linux OS.-Knowledge of tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, Stash-Team player will-do attitude.-Good communication skills.-Results oriented.-Self-education on regular basis.-Has experience of mentoring of less experienced team members.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:-Experience in QNX is preferable.-Experience of working in development teams (3+ persons) is a plus.-Experience in Audio/Media Frameworks (Android and\or Linux) is preferable.
