RequirementsWe are seeking a skilled API Gateway Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and managing CA/Layer7 API Gateway and APIGEE Gateway solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in deploying and refactoring policies for migration, as well as integrating with datastores and backend systems. Additionally, you may develop additional tools and utilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CA API Gateway and Apigee solutions to enable secure and efficient API communications.• Perform requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, build API policies, shared flows, and assertions for API management platforms such as Layer 7 and/or CA API Gateway and Apigee.• Utilize XSLTs to manage request/response transformations for SOAP proxies.• Manage the OAuth component of the CA API Gateway/Apigee, including all aspects of client registrations.• Use Gateway Migration Utility (Layer 7 / CA API Gateway) and automate proxy and shared flow deployments on Apigee gateways.• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API gateway functionality, connectivity, and performance.• Maintain in-depth knowledge of OAuth, JWT, and JWKS and their underlying specifications.• Create and maintain design documentation, including use cases and sequence diagrams.• Develop software in Java as needed for integration and functionality purposes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with API management platforms such as Layer 7 and/or CA API Gateway and Apigee.• Proficiency in designing and building API policies, shared flows, and assertions.• Expertise in using XSLTs for managing request/response transformations for SOAP proxies.• Familiarity with OAuth components of CA API Gateway/Apigee and client registration processes.• Experience with Gateway Migration Utility and automating deployments on Apigee gateways.• Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving API gateway functionality, connectivity, and performance issues.• In-depth knowledge of OAuth, JWT, and JWKS specifications.• Experience in creating and maintaining design documentation, including use cases and sequence diagrams.• Proficiency in developing software in Java is highly desired.
