We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology projects in the gambling industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails development, along with experience in PostgreSQL, VIM, Vue, Typescript, application development, microservices, object-oriented programming, AWS, and Docker. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code. Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. Develop and maintain applications in Ruby on Rails, using best practices and standards. Work closely with other team members to integrate new features and improvements. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception to deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to design and optimize applications. Utilize AWS and Docker to manage and deploy applications. Use PostgreSQL to handle data and ensure system security and stability. Implement robust set of services and APIs to power the web application. Build reusable code and libraries for future use. Implement security and data protection.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Ruby on Rails. Proven experience with PostgreSQL, VIM, Vue, Typescript, application development, microservices, object-oriented programming, AWS, and Docker. Strong understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming. Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful. Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Bundler, Rake, etc. Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment. Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical mindset. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments. Prior experience in the gambling industry is a plus.
