Lead UI/UX designer / Front end Developer / Lead Designer

We are a bootstrapped early-stage startup looking for a visionary UI/UX Front End Developer with exceptional graphic design skills.

In short: we are looking for our Jony Ive.

Flank Technologies is a mission-based company. Our mission is to tangibly reduce the wealth gap by empowering individual investors and restoring stakeholder capitalism. The first way we plan to make this mission a reality is to build a 'third place' for long-term, Buffett-style investors, while making the analysis, discussion, and community engaging and accessible to all.

Our MVP is ~90% complete, so you will not be starting from scratch. We use the following technologies: React, Tailwind, Apollo, GraphQL, Typescript, MySQL, TypeORM, S3. We need a skilled designer to come in and really give our brand/webapp/content the form & function that great brands are born from. You will work hand-in-glove with our founder to create an everlasting brand.

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote opportunity. You will be responsible for leading our front-end development efforts and bringing a high level of graphic design excellence to our platform. We also run a Youtube channel with ~18,000 subscribers: we want the branding you create to extend into our videos and all aspects of the business.

Our main focus is enhancing the user interface, creating a seamless user experience, and making our platform visually engaging.

Our team:You will be a founding team member (our third (!) hire)Our CTO successfully exited his last startup <12 months ago. Within 1 year they achieved $10M ARR, and an 9-figure valuationOur Storytelling Lead is an Emmy nominated editor (and is currently on a mini-sabbatical producing the Olympics!)Our founder has been an indvidual investor for over ten years, has worked as a professional investor, as well as a top-level salesperson at Fortune 10 technology companies.We are a close-knit team building a great culture of 'work hard, play hard'.
