You'll be involved in projects such as the Modern Workplace Program, Cloud Technology Project, Polling Place Technology Project, and the Election Systems Modernization Program (Indigo Program).
Experience and Skills:Mandatory Criteria:
💻 Proven ability to develop and maintain high-quality, scalable enterprise-level software solutions using Java and Java EE.🕒 Strong skills in setting priorities and delivering quality results on time and on budget.📡 Effective communication skills with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs across a dispersed network.🧩 Excellent analytical abilities to propose and facilitate change and contribute to business improvement strategies.🧑🤝🧑 Ability to manage staff, encourage career development, and promote professionalism.🛡️ Demonstrated personal integrity while achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.Desirable Criteria:
🎓 Relevant qualifications in information technology.🇦🇺 Knowledge or the ability to quickly gain knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.📚 Familiarity with Commonwealth frameworks, including ICT frameworks.Additional Information:✈️ Applicants outside Canberra must be willing to travel to Canberra for operational reasons (1-2 times per quarter).📍 Preferred location: Canberra or Brisbane, with hybrid working arrangements considered.🌍 Remote working will be accepted where AEC accommodation is not available.🔒 Must hold (or be able to obtain) minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 AGSVA Clearance.
