Description

We are in the market for a Front End Developer to join our team in the Mortgage industry, based in Carrollton, Texas, 75006, United States. Our company offers a long term contract employment opportunity. The role will primarily involve the application of Full Software Development skills to develop and support decision engine products, with a focus on assessing risk.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain user-friendly interfaces for our decision engine products

Collaborate with the team to assess risk in the mortgage industry and propose software solutions

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications

Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Support the entire application lifecycle, including concept, design, test, release, and support phases

Evaluate and debug applications to optimize product performance

Implement effective and high-quality software solutions

Liaise with the development team to plan new features and assess risk

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms, and products.

Requirements

Proficient in full software development lifecycle including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.

Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Ability to assess risk and handle problem-solving situations.

Solid understanding of responsive design principles.

Experience with version control systems like Git.

Knowledge of performance testing frameworks.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, developers, and other relevant staff.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Continual learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.

Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.

Ability to provide valuable feedback during code reviews.

Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.

Knowledge of SEO principles.
