Power BI Developer

About the Company: We are looking for a skilled Power BI developer to join our team who can manage projects directly with the business users to gather requirements and translate to working solutions. In this role, you will transform large, complex datasets into presentable dashboards and reports for business decision-making. You will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet them.

Responsibilities:Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders’ needs.Gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis.Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data.Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs.Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data presented in the dashboards.Creating complex DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis.Train end-users on how to use the dashboards and reports effectively.Troubleshoot data-related issues and maintain the Power BI infrastructure.Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, updates, and best practices.

Requirements:Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.Financial Experience is a must especially with the Mutual funds data, ETF datasets.Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts.Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.Experience with SQL, DAX, and other data languages.Some relevant experience working at a financial services/Mutual fund company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services organization.Strong understanding of data analysis and visualization principles.Ability to work independently.Adaptability to changing business requirements.A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields.Power BI certifications are a plus.

Preferred qualifications:Knowledge of a range of financial products, including loans, derivatives, equities, and fixed income.Knowledge of industries, including investment banking, broker-dealers, custody, fund administration and investment management would be helpful.Knowledge of ETL processes and data modeling.Familiarity with other data visualization tools.Coding skills (e.g., Python) will be a plus.
