The day-to-day responsibilities of a Scala Developer include:Building distributed and highly parallelized BigData processing pipeline that processes massive amounts of data (both structured and unstructured) in near real-timeLeverage Spark to enrich and transform corporate data to enable searching, data visualization, and advanced analyticsWorking closely with DevOps, QA, and Product Management teams in a Continuous Delivery environment

Your background? You’re ideal for this role if you have:Experience in Scala and SparkKnowledge of Hadoop stack: YARN, EMR, Sqoop, Hive, Kafka (Nice to have, not strictly required), Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket and Git

Nice to have:Experience in SnowflakeExperience in implementing data security capabilities such as encryption and anonymizationExcellent communication skills and experience of distributed global teamsData-driven thinking capabilitiesExperience in using Agile methodsPrior Financial Service experience is considered a plus
