About the Job:This is a unique and exciting, multi-faceted consulting opportunity which fulfils several client-facing roles concurrently. These roles include serving as a Java Architect, Java Developer, Deployment Specialist, and coach and mentor to the client and to other XSOLCORP consultants; sometimes independently, sometimes as part of a team.

In this role, you are a Sr. Java Developer / Deployment Specialist Consultant assigned to support one or more of XSOLCORP's clients. You are part of a project team responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of expert level business and technology solutions. As the Sr. Java Developer / Deployment Specialist you will be working in collaboration with XSOLCORP’s clients supporting and working towards continuous improvement of their deployment infrastructure, build systems, and related tooling. All development and maintenance of technical solutions must adhere to best practices, engineering and architectural design principles and successfully meet or exceed the client’s specific business requirements.

Skills and Experience Requirements

Technical Must Have:Java/J2EE : minimum 5 years solid experienceJavaScript : minimum 2 years experienceLinux or Unix : minimum 5 years experience MQ: minimum 3 years experienceWebSphere and/or JBOSS: minimum 5 years experienceSSL and Security : strong understandingDevOps knowledge and experience: 2 years experienceGIT or SVN or other code repository: strong understanding and comfort using

Project:Demonstrated understanding of a technology upgrade project's lifecycle from the perspective of both client and businessConsulting experience as a Sr. Java Developer / Deployment ConsultantAble to work cross functionally with multiple internal technology departments in an agile structured project environment

Interpersonal:Flexibility and willingness to accept and adapt to changes in priorities as necessaryA team player with solid problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detailAbility to work independently and multi-task effectivelyA sense of urgency and a solution minded orientationA self-starter, with strong interpersonal and highly effective communications skills

Responsibilities:Providing superior technical expertise to our diverse multinational client base with a focus on delivering efficient, reliable, scalable and secure client centric solutions. This consulting role includes analyzing, evaluating, designing, recommending, developing, and deploying solutions for our clients. Also involves operational and solutioning support all in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.

Considered an Asset:Previous working knowledge of life insurance products (whole life, term, disability, universal life, wealth and health products) IT project upgrade methodologies (agile, waterfall and hybrid)3 - 5 years experience with PathFinder and INGENIUM.

Preferred Education and Experience:A College or university degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science3 - 5 years experience in a Java Development / Deployment Specialist role.
