Python Backend Developer

Chef Vision is a food-tech startup on a mission to transform restaurant operations using cutting-edge AI. We're building a platform that leverages computer vision to streamline kitchens, boost efficiency, and enhance the dining experience. Your expertise is crucial to making this vision a reality.

Your Role

Design and develop scalable backend services using Flask or FastAPI, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.Create and maintain RESTful APIs (with GraphQL as a bonus) to support our front-end and mobile applications.Manage and interact with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) efficiently, using SQLAlchemy for ORM.Deploy and maintain our backend services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), using tools like Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and Cloud SQL/Firestore.Containerize our applications using Docker to ensure portability and scalability.Implement secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT) to protect our data and users.Collaborate with the team using Git and GitHub for version control and development.Contribute to our CI/CD processes to keep our codebase efficient and reliable.

Your Skills

Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.Experience with both SQL/NoSQL databases and ORMs like SQLAlchemy.Ability to design and implement RESTful APIs (and ideally GraphQL).Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services.Understanding of containerization using Docker.Knowledge of secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).Commitment to automated testing and continuous deployment.

Bonus Points

Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.Knowledge of securing data transmission with SSL/TLS.
