Senior Backend Node.js Developer (m/f/d) - BI APP - onsite or remote within the EU

We are looking for a Senior Backend NodeJS Developer (m/f/d) to be part of the development of our Business Intelligence Application. Our BI APP circle is embedded in our new circle cluster “Customer & Shop Intelligence”, which is in charge of driving a personalized and inspirational shop experience.

Our BI-APP Team uses data from across the company and transforms it into logics & scores, used to provide the best personalized user shopping experience. You will work at the heart of our recommendation and sorting logics with deep insights into the algorithms behind that.

What you will do

Develop smart BI solutions utilizing NodeJS with TypeScriptManage extensive data volumes efficiently, employing Google BigQuery and integrating seamlessly with Business Intelligence systemsBuild and enhance high-traffic APIs, ensuring minimal latenciesWork closely with experienced developers, product managers, data scientists, and analysts to improve existing features and introduce new onesEncourage innovative ideas and creations – a flat organizational structure, and fast decision-making processes ensure ample room for contribution and growthDraft architectural decisions together with our Tech Lead and explore new technologies

Who you are

You have at least 5 years of experience working with Node.jsYou have recent and practical experience with TypeScriptYou have proficiency in working with SQL or No-SQL databasesYou write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code, and actively maintain the quality of the codebaseYou have excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsYou are used to working in an English-speaking and agile environmentYou raise the quality of the software you work on

Nice to have

You have experience with ElasticsearchYou have experience with Google Big QueryYou have familiarity with centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions like DatadogYou have recent and practical experience with React, VueJs, or similar frontend frameworks
