Baer is looking for an Looker Developer for a 4-month Federal remote project.

Description

Design, develop, and maintain Looker dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.Develop and manage LookML models, explore and analyze data using Looker API for custom integrations and automation.Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources. Optimize queries for performance and scalability.Utilize GCP services, especially BigQuery, for data warehousing, analytics, and management. Ensure data security and compliance within GCP.Create intuitive and insightful data visualizations that effectively communicate key insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics, Looker development, and cloud technologies. Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and tools.

Requirements

7+ years of Google Looker Data Platform, Big Data Analytics, Google Cloud Platform and Google BigQuery experienceProficiency in Looker, LookML, and Looker API.Strong SQL skills, with experience in writing and optimizing queries.Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery.Experience with other data visualization tools and technologies.Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.Certification in Looker or GCP.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Public Trust Security Clearance is the lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
