API Developer

This is a work from home (fully remote) 6 month contract position where you can work from anywhere within Australia.

What you’ll be doing:

In this back end focused role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing APIs using NodeJS and NestJS. You will collaborate with cross functional teams across multiple timezones where you will clear and comprehensive API Specs + Docs (Open API).

You will work closely with a team of 11 local developers and 9 overseas developers and will be involved in planning and design sessions. You will be tasked with developing an API for customer integrations to the platform where you will ensure flexibility, performance, security, and scalability.

Experience required:

You will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar development role where you worked with Node and Typescript. You will have solid previous experience in API design and maintenance. You will be a natural problem solver and a strong communicator able to deal with both internal and external stakeholders.

You will ideally be based in Newcastle, but if not, they are able to accommodate for work from home based out of Australia. Ideally, you will also have experience working with NestJS, but if not, we would still love to hear from you.
