Data Extract Developer

Index Analytics is seeking an experienced Data Extract Developer with a diverse skillset to be part of an Agile team responsible for extracting and delivering datasets to Business Owners and Customers using custom applications, AWS and EFT. Strong SQL, data mapping, Python and scripting skills are a must. The ideal candidate will demonstrate fine-tuned troubleshooting skills and a willingness to investigate options for operational growth.

This position will integrate with a highly collaborative team. Openness and willingness to share is optimal.

Responsibilities

Develop complex SQL code to query a Snowflake Data Cloud and output results into a multitude of formats. Use Python to develop programs that support functions related to data extraction as well as other team operations. Maintain existing data extract processes, including performing analysis of processes to ensure operational excellence. Maintain a few Mainframe processes, including EFT for extract delivery. Develop prototypes to enhance data extraction, data transformation, extract delivery and validation using cloud-based technologies. Troubleshoot legacy processes and modernize when applicable. Document/maintain operational procedure, mapping, development or other artifacts related to development activities or business operations. Maintain a current status on workload within Jira and any other tracking methods.

Qualifications

US citizen, or lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years with an ability to obtain Public Trust level clearance Bachelor’s degree with 5 to 7 years of experience as a Data or Analytics Developer Prior experience with Center for Medicare Medicaid Services or other Govt agencies is a plus Experience working within Workspaces and the AWS Cloud is preferred Working knowledge of Snowflake Data Cloud is preferred Self-managed with the ability to complete tasks with little supervision Understanding of Section 508 standards and ability to test for them Experience working in an Agile environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot application issues. Ability to interact with clients and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Previous experience with SAFe agile principles and affiliated tools, including Jira, Confluence and GitHub Strong oral and written communication skills
