About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mid-Level Backend Developer specializing in Node.js to join our dynamic team at Pearpop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, with a focus on building and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications. Experience with DevOps practices and cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.Design and implement RESTful APIs to support various front-end services.Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Implement security and data protection measures.Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js.Proficient in JavaScript and frameworks available for Node.js.Experience with Sequelize library for database accessExperience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git and Github.Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker.Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5 and CSS3.

Preferred Skills:Experience with DevOps tools and practices.Proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Compensation: $110,000 - 150,000
