Senior Web Developer

Job Description:As a Senior Web Developer (Front-End Focus), you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality web applications with a significant emphasis on accessibility for people with blindness and visual impairments. Your expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, and design will be critical in creating seamless and user-friendly experiences for all users.

Key Responsibilities:Design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications using TypeScript and JavaScript.Implement accessible web designs following WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards as well as newly developed approaches.Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the design meets accessibility and usability standards.Conduct accessibility testing and audits to identify and fix accessibility issues.Participate in team meetings and collaborate across different time zones as needed.

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field) or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in front-end development.Strong proficiency in web technologies TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON.Proven experience with web accessibility standards and practices (WCAG, ARIA).Solid background in design and the ability to translate design concepts into functional, accessible web applications.Experience with modern front-end frameworks web components, and libraries (e.g., Lit, React, Angular, Svelte).Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of back-end development and integrationFamiliarity with Go is a bonus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.
