Senior Java Backend Developer

Bike.Rent Manager is the industry leading bike rental platform. We have spent over 10 years developing and rolling out our B2B platform for bike rental operations around the world. For the next phase of our exciting journey, we are launching our B2C platform called Bike.Rent.

About the role:If you’re a hardworking, smart, experienced Java Backend Developer who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, we need your expertise! Your responsibilities will involve designing & developing web-based SaaS software, reviewing and testing code, supporting and maintaining applications, providing appropriate written documentation of development and programming code, and contributing technical expertise to the environment.

Responsibilities:Participate in the design and development of SaaS web applicationDevelop code using Java, and NOSQL technologies using Google Cloud PlatformSolve technical problems using cutting edge technologies and best practicesPropose different ways to solve the same problem and showcase why one solution is betterEnsure all aspects of the technical design are correctly incorporatedContribute technical expertise to all initiatives & team members as required

Requirements:5+ years of experience building complex, scalable, and secure web-based applicationsNative or close to native English speakerStrong ability to abstract complex problems to their essential components and design and implement elegant solutions for themExperience of Cloud technologies - Google Cloud Platform ecosystemExperience with building & managing CI/CD pipelines and processes (GCP, Bitbucket Pipelines)Deep knowledge on REST web services and API’sRobust OO Programming and OO Design concepts knowledgeStrong unit/integration testing experienceDelivery Focused using Agile Development Methodology (Scrum/Kanban)Need to be a team player while having the capacity to work independentlyStrong analytical and logical skills including troubleshooting
