Position: AWS Senior Application Developer - Full Stack .NET

Location: Remote, near a USDA facility

ASRC Federal Highland Technology is actively seeking a Senior Application Developer in .NET with AWS experience to join our team and support AWS development efforts for a government client in Fort Collins, CO.

Position Description

The successful candidate must be knowledgeable of and experienced with web and desktop application software design and development environments. Principal responsibilities include:

Provide guidance and structure for creating and maintaining software infrastructure in AWSDevelop, test and deploy code (primarily using MS Visual Studio in .NET and C# environment) with an emphasis on both front-end methodologies and server-side programingDesign and develop web services components for cross-application solutionsInteract with system designers and provide feedback on design modulesPerform testing on developed code (initial and regression)Coordinate and prioritize application modifications that refactor to more effectively use AWS infrastructure and bug fixesParticipate and contribute to a team approach to software development and problem solving using Agile/Scrum practicesWork well as part of a development team including across System and Business Analyst teams as well as other development teams.

Required Skills And Competencies

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to generate high quality codeExperience with service-oriented architecture and web application/services developmentExperience developing applications in AWSMicrosoft .NET, C# and ASP.NET software development experienceExperience with web services technologies such as SOAP, HTTP, WSDL, XSD and RESTExperience with React.js Experience with ORMs (NHibernate/Entity Framework)Experience with JavaScript programming using a client-side JavaScript frameworkExperience with cross-browser DHTML and HTML5 web designFrontend web developer experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery)AJAX, DHTML/XHTML, JavaScript development experienceExperience with SQL, RDBMS (preferably SQL Server), and database principlesExperience with source code management tools (git preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable in Agile Development Methodology, especially ScrumObject Oriented design and implementation experienceKnowledge of configuration management practices

U.S. Citizen or Green Card with 3 year residency

Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar degree8+ years of overall IT experience5+ years hands-on experience writing, debugging, testing, and documenting Web ApplicationsCandidates without a college degree will be considered, but must at least 10 years of relevant development experience

Desired Skills

Development experience with GIS software toolsExperience working with Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence/BitBucket)
