Typescript Developer

Vana is a rapidly growing fintech startup based in Guatemala, committed to revolutionizing the financial landscape. We are looking for a motivated Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us build scalable and maintainable software products.

Role

Fully remote. Salary: 2,500 to 3,500 USD per month. Contractor role (deel).

Responsibilities

Design and Development: Architect and develop high-scalability software solutions. Collaboration: Engage in code reviews and discussions to ensure high-quality code and team collaboration. Testing: Develop and maintain unit tests for new features to ensure robustness and reliability. Planning: Participate in sprint planning sessions with the development team, Engineering Manager, and Product Manager. API Implementation: Design and implement APIs for use by other teams. Cloud Solutions: Implement and manage cloud solutions, preferably using AWS services.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in TypeScript and its features. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Minimum of 2 years in software development. Experience with REST APIs and HTTP methods. Knowledge of AWS Serverless tools such as DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudWatch, and API Gateway. Familiarity with agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban. Experience in developing and maintaining unit tests. Proficiency with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools.
