Developer Partner Manager – Xbox

The Xbox Developer Relations team is looking for a technically inclined Developer Partner Manager who wants to make a real difference at the heart of game development by owning and managing relationships with leading games tools, middleware, engine, and services developers.

Developer Partner Managers are at the forefront of helping ship great games. We partner closely with developers to help deliver the best gaming experiences across our Microsoft platforms including Xbox, Windows PC, Game Pass and Cloud Gaming.

In this role, the Developer Partner Manager will act as the primary point of contact for third party games technology developers, providing support, helping solve complex technical problems, and advising them on the latest technologies/services for Microsoft platforms. By assisting them to provide the best possible solutions on Microsoft gaming platforms, you will help raise the bar of gaming across multiple devices and services. We are looking for people who love to work in ambiguity and solve issues, who have an interest in learning new things every day, and a sense of empathy for developers. You will use your solid technical background and deep understanding of the PC and console tools and middleware markets to work closely with other members of Xbox and other internal Microsoft teams, and be an important part of our global organization.

Our offices are US based but candidates in other locations are considered, with an option of office, remote or hybrid working. This role will require international travel.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts and relationships for third party games technology providers.Help onboard and build relationships with technology developers new to the Xbox ecosystem.Provide technical insights to internal partner teams during business discussions.Work on technical problems that require cross group collaboration.Research and understand technical aspects of Microsoft platforms. (Xbox, Game Streaming, Windows development, Azure.)Represent Xbox at game developer events and conferences.Embody our Culture and Values.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineeringOR equivalent experience.5 + years of experience in the gaming industry.Track record of customer excellence with the ability to empathize and communicate effectively with partners of all sizes, structures and experience levels.Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud services, security), technical sales, marketing, product management, customer support, or cross-group/cross-functional engineeringOR equivalent experience.Deep understanding of game development on Xbox, PlayStation, and/or PC.Passion for gaming and consumer entertainment, and for the technologies to create these experiences.Ability to formulate insights and effectively communicate opinions about complex problems.Ability to ramp up quickly on new technology and end-to-end scenarios.

Partner Enablement Program Mgmt IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
