Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and integration of ServiceNow with various systems via API integrations. You will manage and work through a backlog of development stories and tickets, ensuring that they are resolved efficiently and effectively.This role requires someone who is adaptable, proactive, and capable of working from Costa Rica during Central Standard Time (CST) hours.
Key Responsibilities:ServiceNow Development:Design, develop, and deploy solutions on the ServiceNow platform.Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate API integrations with other systems.Maintain and optimize existing ServiceNow solutions to meet evolving business needs.
API Integrations:Develop and manage API integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications.Ensure seamless data flow and connectivity between integrated systems.
Backlog Management:Work on tickets related to incidents, requests, and problems within the ServiceNow platform.Triage and prioritize a backlog of development stories, implementing solutions that align with business requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new development tasks.
Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and business stakeholders.Provide technical expertise and support to team members and assist in troubleshooting issues.
Quality Assurance:Conduct testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.Follow best practices for code development, version control, and deployment processes.
Qualifications:Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration.Proven experience with API integrations and web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).Strong understanding of ITSM, ITOM, and ITBM modules within ServiceNow.
Technical Skills:Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting.Knowledge of database management, including SQL.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Work Schedule:Must be available to work during Central Standard Time (CST) hours.
