API/Backend Developer

Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled API/Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing and developing robust, scalable backend solutions that power our applications. The expertise in C# .NET, API development, and cloud technologies will be essential to create and maintain critical SDKs and APIs that support frontend applications. Please note: you must have at least 6+ years of experience using C# with .NET 6.0+ to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Design and implement a set of C# .NET SDK projects that leverage Entity Framework to interact with an MSSQL database. This involves consuming existing stored procedures and ensuring efficient data access.Develop and maintain a suite of secure, scalable APIs that utilize the created SDKs. These APIs will be secured with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and will communicate with a React frontend through token-based authentication, returning JSON objects.Work closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between the API layer and the front-end applications.Continuously optimize and refactor code to enhance performance, scalability, and security.Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation for the SDKs and APIs, ensuring that they are easily understandable by other developers.

Experience

5 + years of experience with C# with .NET 6.0+ for building robust, high-performance applications.Strong experience with Entity Framework and LINQ for database interactions, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance.Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs in C#, with a deep understanding of API security, versioning, and best practices.Experience with cloud services, particularly Azure Service Bus or other messaging systems.Familiarity with Git or other code versioning tools, with a solid understanding of branching, merging, and pull requests.Experience with token-based authentication and authorization, particularly with Microsoft Entra ID.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Excellent verbal and written English communication skillsExcellent organizational, problem solver, and analytical abilitiesOutstanding communication, and interpersonal skillsInitiative and drive to do great things
