Senior EBS Application Developer

Position Description

This role will primarily be responsible for designing Oracle EBS application programs and / or configuring the system to address business needs. Additionally, this individual will provide programming assistance for new systems and maintain and / or enhance existing systems as needed. The Senior eBusiness Suite Developer will perform their tasks while implementing best practice methodologies and tools to assist in the planning, moderation, and execution of eBusiness Suite support and projects. The Senior eBusiness Suite Developer will collaborate with other departmental personnel to assist in providing the most efficient results. The Senior eBusiness Suite Developer will collaborate directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget of the project and/or managed services contract. The governing principle of the Senior eBusiness Suite Developer is customer satisfaction which ultimately results in a referenceable client.

Responsibilities

Create functional and technical specifications and documentation for required EBS software development changes, as well as implementing these specificationsAssist with design software test plans and work with users to develop and execute test cases for business process scenarios using the EBS applicationsManage post-implementation support including, but not limited to, troubleshooting applications, assisting users with production issues and additional end-user training as requiredAdditional development work may include data conversions and interfaces to third-party software productsData analysis and creation of ad-hoc queries and reportsPerforms / coordinates system maintenance on eBusiness Suite related activities, including regularly scheduled jobsWork with Business Systems Analysts and business users to provide detailed system informationProactively identify issues and recommend solutionsDetermine feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutionsGuide development teams through development life cycles to ensure project success within expected scope, budget, and timelineOversee software development to ensure quality standards are being metExecutes preparation and installation solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programmingSupport fixing applications through SIT, UAT, and post project implementationDevelop solutions and ensure completion, practices, and delivery of documentation follows standardsManages large project design and solution developmentIdentify and escalate key issues as neededIdentify potential improvements and proactive support that can enhance our customer's experienceParticipate on recurring and / or periodic meetings both internally and with clientsPerform knowledge transfer with technical and functional team membersCollaborate with project team to help identify resolution to issuesDisplay professionalism in all aspectsof communication with customersParticipate in weekly statusmeetings and provideupdatesTimely entry of weekly timesheet to the appropriate managed services contractin our ticketing and time entry systemProvide mentorship to team membersIdentify potential improvements and proactive support that can enhance our customer's experience

Implement eBusiness Suite Projects and functionalityMeet with Customer to clarify specific requirements of each projectProvide functional and technical specifications and work with project team for eBusiness Suite developmentAssist with internal eBusiness Suite projects, as neededMaintain scope for project work Ability to escalate internally when issues ariseRecommend solutions identified by project needs as they ariseEffectively document project deliverables outlined in Centrilogic’s project methodologyEnsure all deliverables are provided in a timely manner in a consistent format and standard agreed upon at the project onsetEfficiently identifies and solves project issuesIdentify and escalate key issues as neededDemonstrate leadership and professionalism

Required Experience & Skills

Previous experiences with multiple EBS implementations and upgrade projectPrevious experience with managed services supportAbility to successfully work with all levels of personnel, including managementAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectivelySound work ethic and commitment to the companyGood interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environmentProven ability to work independently and within established deadlinesBachelor’s Degree – Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems5+ years of eBusiness Suite software development experience with versions 11.0 up through and including the current version (12.2) and FusionResponsible for both functional SDLC tasks and technical development work in PL/SQL and Java (Oracle Applications Framework) working in an Oracle EBS or custom application environmentAbility to utilize SQL for data fixes (e.g., complex queries, insert / update / delete statements)Hands-on experience with XML Publisher, Oracle Reports issuesExperience with modules like Financials, Procurement, Logistics, Order Management/Shipping, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, and PayrollExperience with AP ACH and AP Positive PayExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem solving skillsExcellent PC skills including, but not limited to Excel and Word SkillsAttention to detail with higher-level problem-solving skills including situation assessment, analysis of work flows, and root cause analysisStrong troubleshooting skillsAbility to effectively translate business requirements into effective (standard and custom) solutionsResponsible for requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentationAbility to manage menus (e.g., create / update menus and migrating those changes following standard guidelines)Ability to troubleshoot production issues following company and client standard proceduresExcellent customer service skills (e.g., demonstrate professionalism, good listener, consistent communication with client and project managers, managing timelines)Excellent documentation skills (e.g., training documentation, standard operating procedures, design specifications, other reference material)Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable applicationExperience with reporting applications like OBIEE and OAC, preferredHands-on experience with EBS Security, including User and Role setup, preferredExperience with EBS Mobile applications, nice to have
