This role (due to Federal requirements) can only be satisfied by a “US citizen, US national, or US person” and additional checks may be required.

We also require this role to be based in the East Coast of the US, within EST/EDT time zone.

What you’ll be doing

Develop robust Python code for our ETL data pipeline, web applications, and APIsArchitect and administer cloud (AWS/Azure) infrastructure.Active involvement in developing, customizing and maintaining Digital Science’s products and technologiesPlan, design and enhance automation processes, utilities and tools.Put into place release processes, infrastructure and tools.Help improve the reliability, scalability and performance of our systems. Work in a Federal and agile environment

What you’ll bring to the role

Strong hands on experience in a Python environmentKey Interest in DevOps and AWS/Azure cloud administration (architecting for scalability and high performance) with Kubernetes and DockerHigh familiarity with distributed systems and web technology, e.g., web services, message queuesProficiency in database systems and design with Oracle and PostgreSQL Experience with Solr, Elasticsearch and/or Lucene would be nice Strong experience with Linux administration and shell scripting Experience with Nginx Understanding of agile methodologiesMust be a self-learner, possessing inherent inquisitiveness Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills Strong interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills
