About The Role
As our Senior Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of both Unbounce and Insightly websites. Your expertise will drive the design and implementation of new features, maintaining updated branding, content, and messaging, and keeping the websites easy-to-use and SEO-friendly. Eventually, you will play a key role in creating a unified website that integrates both brands seamlessly - a rare opportunity to build something totally new!
What you'll be doing:
Build engaging and interactive web pages in WordPress & Unbounce from Figma designs that are responsive and SEO-friendly.Implement and optimize website features, ensuring high performance, accessibility, and search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.Work closely with internal marketing, product, operations, and creative teams – as well as external agencies, as needed – to scope and deliver high-impact projects on time.Produce quality code with consistent standards, particularly that aligns with Core Web Vitals and Web Accessibility Standards.Manage both staging and live environments in WP Engine to ensure QA prior to sites or changes being pushed to the live site. Oversee our hosting provider, Kinsta.Manage and optimize Wordpress plug-ins and connectors to external site-adjacent portals.Identify and deliver opportunities to raise the standards of our web-based properties and landing pages to make the team better and properties faster.Debug and troubleshoot layout and scripting issues across a variety of devices and browsers.Work hand-in-hand with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end code, ensuring design integrity. Ensure that the integration of web experiences with the marketing automation system is optimized and operational.
A little bit about you:
At least 2 years of front-end web experience, preferably in a SaaS or marketing agency environment.Knowledge of JQuery, Bootstrap.js, HTML, CSS, PHP, and Ajax, as well as a good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.Wordpress/Divi/Gravity Forms experience; also working with WP Engine and building new pages and templatesCMS-based development experience, primarily WordPress and Unbounce.JavaScript programming and working knowledge of at least one popular JavaScript framework.Experience consuming services (XML, JSON, SOAP) using Ajax, as well as experience with Java technology stack will be a plus. UI/UX design experience with tools such as Adobe XD and Figma to help translate the visual designs into high-impact experiences.Proficiency with version control systems, such as Git.Experience with responsive design frameworks and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.Understanding of web security best practices, especially related to WordPress.Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in web development.A motivated self-starter who can proactively recommend improvements to the Insightly & Unbounce websites.Excellent problem solving and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to an audience of marketers.Curiosity for learning new technologies and methods, as well as a desire to build great products.Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.Proactive and organized. Familiarity with project management and collaboration software like Monday and SlackExperience or understanding of building within Divi on Wordpress is a plus.
