Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior PHP Laravel Developer cum Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional experience in PHP Laravel development and a passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring others. This role requires a blend of hands-on development work and training responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both coding and teaching.

Key Responsibilities

Development: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality projects. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services. Optimize application performance, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues as they arise. Conduct code reviews to maintain coding standards and best practices. Training: Develop training materials and resources to effectively teach PHP Laravel development to junior developers or trainees. Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars on PHP Laravel, covering both basic and advanced topics. Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to trainees, helping them to improve their coding skills and understanding of Laravel. Assess the progress of trainees through assignments, tests, and project work. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in PHP Laravel development and incorporate them into the training curriculum.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in PHP Laravel development. Strong understanding of MVC architecture and OOP principles. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Experience with version control systems like Git. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to a diverse audience. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Passion for teaching and mentoring, with prior experience in training or coaching being an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other PHP frameworks. Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL. Previous experience in a teaching or training role.
