As a BigCommerce Developer, your duties will include creating, modifying, and managing eCommerce websites to fulfill our clients' requirements and improve their online visibility. Key Responsibilities - Platform Customization: Develop and customize BigCommerce themes to align with client branding and functionality requirements. Implement responsive designs to ensure optimal performance across various devices.Store Setup and Configuration: Set up and manage products, categories, attributes, and inventory. Integrate and configure payment gateways and shipping methods. Set up tax rules and rates in compliance with relevant regulations.Development and Integration: Integrate third-party services (e.g., CRM, ERP, marketing tools) using BigCommerce APIs. Utilize JavaScript and Liquid templates for advanced site customization.Performance Optimization: Optimize site speed and overall performance following best practices. Implement SEO strategies to enhance site visibility and ranking.Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve bugs or issues affecting site functionality. Ensure regular updates of the BigCommerce platform, themes, and plugins. Implement security measures to protect the site from vulnerabilities.User Experience and Testing: Conduct testing of new features and customization to ensure they meet quality standards. Design intuitive navigation and interfaces to improve the shopping experience.Collaboration and Communication: Interact with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on project progress. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers for successful project delivery.Document custom developments and integrations clearly. Training and Support: Provide training to clients on managing their BigCommerce store. Offer ongoing technical support for any issues or questions.Analytics and Reporting: Analyze site performance and user behavior using analytics tools. Generate and review reports on sales, traffic, and other key metrics.

Qualifications - Experience: Proven experience as a BigCommerce Developer with a strong portfolio of eCommerce sites.Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid templating.API Knowledge: Experience with BigCommerce API and integration of third-party services.Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve technical issues effectively.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions.Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality work.

Preferred Qualifications - Certifications: BigCommerce certification or relevant training.Experience with other platforms: Familiarity with other eCommerce platforms like Shopify or Magento.Additional Skills: Experience in SEO, UX/UI design, and data analysis.
