Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Ab Initio Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of Ab Initio-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and data warehousing. As an Ab Initio Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy Ab Initio applications to meet business requirements. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and optimizing existing Ab Initio workflows and ensuring data quality and integrity. Key Responsibilities: - 6 years experienced would be great - Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements for data integration projects.- Design, develop, test, and deploy Ab Initio applications and workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.- Perform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions for data cleansing and transformation.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing Ab Initio workflows, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the process.- Optimize Ab Initio code and workflows to improve performance and efficiency.- Collaborate with database administrators and infrastructure teams to ensure the availability and scalability of Ab Initio environments.- Create technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members and end-users.- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data integration and ETL processes. Qualifications and Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.- Proven experience as an Ab Initio Developer or in a similar role.- Strong understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.- Proficiency in Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment), Co>Operating System, and Express>It components.- Experience with Ab Initio EME (Enterprise Metadata Environment) and Metadata Hub.- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.- Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell scripting or Perl.- Understanding of data modeling and schema design principles.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with other Ab Initio components, such as Continuous>Flows, Conduct>It, or Metadata Hub.- Experience with Big Data technologies and frameworks like Hadoop, Hive, or Spark.- Familiarity with cloud-based data integration platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.- Experience with scheduling tools like Control-M or Autosys.
