The position:This is a remote position, but you are invited to spend time in-person at their London office: this is optional and our client aims to be entirely flexible to your needs. As a leader in the cloud native community there are also opportunities for international travel with the team.
Responsibilities:Ensure the platform's scalability, reliability, and efficiency to meet business and client needsFocus on continuous delivery and observabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the market data roadmapDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pipeline performance and customer satisfactionStay updated on emerging trends and technologies in cloud data management and operations
Essential experience:Significant recent practical experience with PythonPractical experience of automated testing frameworks (pytest)Strong understanding and practical experience of HTTP REST APIsPractical experience with and an understanding of Kubernetes and Helm chartsPractical experience creating and managing Container Images (e.g. Docker)Understanding of CI/CD best practices and a range of build toolsUnderstanding of the whole SDLCFamiliarity with Jira or similarPractical experience working within a Scrum environmentPractical experience with Git commandline
Desirable experience:Understanding or familiarity working with any of Snyk, Artifactory API, Splunk APIUnderstanding or familiarity working with Github and Bitbucket APIFamiliarity with Authorisation and Authentication protocols such as OAuth, or LDAPExperience with Secrets Management platforms e.g. Hashicorp Vault, CyberArkDevelopment experience with Golang, Java, or other mainstream languagesCloud security awareness and a desire to build hardened systemsExperience with GitOps tools and practicesExperience with one or more cloud providers and Infrastructure as Code tools and practices
