W2 Contract RequirementJD:Description/Basic Purpose:Seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with extensive expertise in the design, development, testing, and implementation of mainframe solutions in addition to demonstrated technical leadership and critical thinking skills. This position will collaborate with business, architecture, platform, product, and operations teams across the enterprise supporting the delivery of digital payments products and capabilities. The ideal candidate will have familiarity in the financial services industry with an emphasis on the payments domain to apply design and development best practices contributing to the delivery of modern digital payments systems and services.
Responsibilities:• Identifies, analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and maintains cost-effective information technology solutions that align with business initiatives and corporate strategies.• Works with customers (business units) to clarify business requirements (e.g., needs, objectives, functions, features, input, and output).• Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, operating systems environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external controls, and output leading to documented system requirements• Documents, diagrams, organizes, information for inclusion in database, developing input/output record layouts, or program views.• Develops and maintains documentation describing program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.• Effectively collaborates with other Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) areas, team members, and management.• Codes programs, prepares test data, tests, and debugs programs.• Revises and refines programs to account for changes in functional system requirements and equipment configurations.• Participates in testing and implementation of systems/applications.• Maintains and monitors systems/applications after implementation.• Participates in training of peers and QA staff in new or modified systems/applications.• Works independently with moderate guidance from higher level staff or management.• Applies specific functional knowledge and analytical tools to analyze and resolve moderately complex to complex problems.• Designs, codes, debugs, implements, and maintains moderately complex to complex computer programs.• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification:• Minimum of 8 years’ experience with COBOL, DB2, Command-Level CICS, JCL, Batch and TSO/ISPF.• Similar experience with SQL and IBM DB2 data base solutions.• Familiarity with SDLC - Software Development Life Cycle.• Strong technical coding skills with a proven track record of adherence to process.• Serena ChangeMan ZMF source packaging/management tool experience.• Demonstrated experience in systems analysis & design, workflow, or procedural analysis.• Demonstrated experience in application development, including determining, developing, testing, and implementing system requirements and specifications.• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan, and organize tasks.• Experience using established testing techniques.• Experience with Agile software development practices.• Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.• Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and use good judgment.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Skill in using PCs including word processing, database, spreadsheet, and graphics software applications.
Desired:• Prefer hands on experience and support of Mainframe applications that use FIS Systematics core banking systems such as IMPACS(IM), Savings/Time (ST), Loans (ALS (AC (customer), AL (Loan), AM (Both)), Combined Statements (SC), Relationship Manager (RM).• Development experience with IBM Mainframe Assembly language, with heavy use of the Concept 14 macros set add-on product.• Working knowledge of banking operations/processes and procedures.• Working knowledge of Azure Dev Ops and ServiceNow ITBM• College degree in information technology, computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
