Job Overview: As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring site performance, and optimizing for user experience. You will work closely with designers, marketers, and other developers to bring our digital visions to life, ensuring that our WordPress sites are secure, scalable, and easy to maintain.

Key Responsibilities:WordPress Development: Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or by customizing existing solutions to meet specific project requirements.Site Maintenance: Manage and maintain existing WordPress websites, ensuring they are up-to-date, secure, and performing optimally.Front-End Development: Implement responsive design and ensure that websites are optimized for mobile and various devices, with a strong focus on user experience.Back-End Development: Manage the WordPress back-end, including database management, server configuration, and custom plugin development.Performance Optimization: Optimize website performance by implementing best practices for site speed, caching, and SEO.Security: Implement and maintain security best practices to protect WordPress sites from vulnerabilities and breaches.Content Management: Assist in the integration and management of content within the WordPress CMS, ensuring that it is displayed correctly and is easy to update.Collaboration: Work closely with designers, marketers, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to WordPress websites, including debugging code and fixing bugs.Custom Integrations: Develop custom integrations between WordPress and third-party services or APIs to extend site functionality.Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to WordPress development.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of experience in WordPress development.Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL.Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.Familiarity with version control systems like Git.Strong understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.Experience with SEO best practices as they relate to WordPress development.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.Knowledge of web hosting environments and server management is a plus.
